He was born in Avilés in 1981. Traveling and discovering new places is an inspiring force in his work. Escayo has a degree in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid and attended the National Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, Italy. In 2011, he received a master's degree in painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, Serbia.

His work is present in museums, public and private collections. Escayo has been selected for many art residencies and has collaborated on international projects. He has had several individual and group exhibitions in Madrid, Asturias, Singapore, the Balkans, France and Portugal, among many other places.

Escayo paintings are produced in a wide range of forms, from small postcard formats to large wall-sized creations using acrylic, oil, ink and other mediums in combination. The paintings have a texture, collage and vibrant energy. In these works, the natural world often interacts with the artist's world: explosions of color, hidden text, line and space combine in an explosion of life. In addition to painting, Escayo also works with photography and new media.

Since 2012, he has been actively exhibiting in Singapore and collaborating with local artists.
