ALMA Gráfica | VIII International Fair

We are participating again in ALMA Gráfica , the 8th International Fair of Contemporary Graphic Art.

The aim of ALMA Gráfica is to create an exhibition platform for the world of printmaking and art publishing, as well as to offer galleries, artists and publishers an environment in which to present their work and put them in contact with collectors and the general public.

This year, the fair pays tribute to La Regenta , Leopoldo Alas Clarín's masterpiece, on the occasion of its 140th anniversary. The programme will also focus on four techniques of paper art: the artist's book, the assembled magazine, the fanzine and mail art.

In this edition of ALMA Gráfica we present "The fascinating creative universe of Alicia Varela"

Alicia Varela built an artistic path full of discoveries and learning. Her training in Fine Arts, with Specializing in painting , she was enriched by an international experience at the renowned École Nationale des Beaux Arts, in Bourges, France, where the fascination with Parisian art deeply captivated her.

Upon returning to Spain, Alicia Varela immersed herself in the world of graphic design , first in Madrid and then in Valencia, before feeling the irresistible call of illustration.

It is at this point that we witness the awakening of her passion for the art of illustration , a journey that led her to explore new creative horizons and develop a unique and expressive style. Currently based in Gijón, Alicia Varela brings her artistic visions to life in a studio full of colors and inspiration. Her art, permeated by the influence of her diverse training and international experiences, transcends borders and captivates the viewer with its expressiveness, visual narrative and wealth of detail.

Alicia Varela's works often convey a strong emotional and expressive charge. Whether through vibrant colors, striking lines or dynamic compositions, they have the power to evoke feelings and awaken emotions in the viewer.
