ENTREARTE IV. Dialogue between Collections
The Association of Contemporary Art Galleries of Asturias is organizing the fourth edition of ENTREARTE , an exhibition that aims to encourage dialogue and collaboration between artists, both recognized and emerging, as well as between private collectors and galleries. Several art collectors support the initiative by donating works.
The exhibition will be complemented by a day entitled Women and collecting. Public and private collections directed by women , promoted by the Department of Equality. It will take place on November 19 and will include a series of lectures moderated by the cultural manager, historian and curator of contemporary art Semíramis González .
The Lucía Dueñas Gallery presents the painter Eva Armisén (Zaragoza, 1969).
Graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona, she completed her training at the Rietveld Akademie in Amsterdam and received a scholarship from the Joan and Pilar Miró Foundation in Palma de Mallorca. She lives and works in Barcelona.
His work focuses on capturing daily life and the mundane as something extraordinary, offering a vital and optimistic view that transports us to a habitable world full of emotion.
Painting and engraving are the artist's most common media, but the originality and ability to communicate of her work has led Armisén to collaborate on very varied projects such as public art installations, advertising campaigns, film and television, and publishing projects.
In 2016, she collaborated on the nomination of the “Haenyeo” (female divers from Jeju Island) for Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity and in June 2017 she illustrated the book Mom is a Haenyeo , which explains the incredible story of these women.
With an increasingly international career, his work can be seen on display in cities such as Seoul, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Singapore, Lisbon, Taipei, Shanghai and Melbourne, both at art fairs and in solo exhibitions. Among others: Hangaram Arts Center Museum (Seoul Arts Center, Seoul, South Korea), Cmay Gallery Los Angeles (USA), La Lonja (Zaragoza, Spain), Sejong Museum (Seoul, South Korea).
"My work is centered on emotion. It's like the fantasy of being able to stop time: when something moves me or makes me feel something special, I have the need to capture it and fix it with painting."
