Inmarcesible , Orrite 's first exhibition (Madrid, 1981) at the Lucía Dueñas Gallery, tries to invite the viewer to penetrate his inner world. He likes to work on themes that evoke melancholy, loneliness and silence. For Orrite, one of the most important things is capturing the light in a scene. His realistic and figurative style is transmitted through oil paintings on canvas.

"Like a dream catcher I am capturing moments that do not belong to me. Moments with soul. A soul that catches my attention. A soul that extinguishes before my eyes before withering.

In the desire to make the transitory lasting, I want to delve into the intangible. And tied to the surface, I aspire to touch the deepest, transmit the hidden, that which makes me wish that the apparent beauty of a moment does not succumb to the oceans of time.

It is then when lights, shadows, textures, essence and time act as verses in the poetry of the moment."
